139/365 19 May 2025 Tried a run for the first time since last Wed and managed to stay vertical the whole way round 😅 Then, for the Monday Morning Walk, went to the Elstead Heath boardwalk to look for dragons - of both the flying and scuttling kinds. Not many of the former - still too early I suspect, but several of the latter, sunning themselves on the wooden planks. There were squadrons of well equipped birders roaming around the common and one group pointed out a pair of hobbies to us, so that was exciting. Also, can anyone ID the teeny birds in the image in the comments? Woodlark possibly? I spotted that a native iris had (bravely) opened in the hens’ run, but they seemed more interested in pecking the back of my t-shirt than destroying the plant. #hilsdickson365
