#aprilproject #curiosity This months topic is chiming rather handily with some of the things happening with me. Recently in the #photographerstudygroup we were discussing what makes art/photography fine art (no conclusions made at the time). On Sunday I attended an excellent Photo Oxford workshop led by Diego Ferrari. The workshop really opened my eyes to how photography can relate to ‘art’ and kind of how to go about it with some intellectual rigour (something I haven’t done since my student days 😬). Diego’s work looks at lots of things, but is mostly concerned with how to capture (photographically) air and representing the form in space. This obviously interests me on an architectural level, but in the very early hours of Monday morning (I woke up thinking about this!) I think it can also relate to tree portraits. I have some writing to do, but I think this was the portal, along with @Emma Davies words, to deeper thinking and informing my woodland work.
